The Claude Moore Charitable Foundation will meet with countyofficials next week (Oct. 10) to discuss the plan. The site islocated between Routes 772, 625 and 606 on the west side of theairport, putting it in an area where development has exploded thepast few years.

The rezoning would make the land more valuable than it is now,which real estate officials say is about $60,000 an acre.Developers frequently encounter opposition in Loudoun County, butthe foundation believes it fits in well with the county's plan tocontrol growth.

The site lies in the path of a planned rail line and bus transitsystem, said the foundation's attorney.
