LDR specializes in urban design and planning, which will add tothe HNTBportfolio of urban planning design capabilities, accordingto Becky Zahner, an HNTBvice president. LDR's projects haveincluded the Baltimore Inner Harbor, theEverglades National Park inFlorida and the Woodrow Wilson Bridgein Virginia.

LDR has more than 40 employees in Columbia. Brian Pieplow, vicepresidentand director of urban design and planning for HNTB herewillrelocate to lead the Columbia office.

HNTB has 2,600 employees in 60 cities throughout the country,400 of whom are in Kansas City. The company's urban planningprojects haveincluded the Trinity River corridor in Dallas, thecentral arterysurface restoration in Boston and the Kansas CitySculpture Garden.
