The Austin-based corporation has added one more high-volume Fujiline in both cities. The Austin expansion increases surface mounttechnology capacity by 33%, bringing its total count to four lines,and an additional line in Dallas, improving overall capacity by50%. The Dallas area will be expanded further, adding a prototypeservice, as the firm preps to relocate to a larger manufacturingfacility. The company also is planning additional lines in the nextmonths to address a growing backlog, according to a company pressrelease.

The expansions are meeting the explosive demand from new andexisting telecom and networking customers. Core products includewireless modems, high-capability telephone switch products andpower converters for network infrastructure. In addition, thecompany intends to further expand capacity in the next few monthsto address its growing backlog.

XeTel, founded in 1984, is ranked among the top 50 electronicsmanufacturing services industry providers in North America. Thecompany, which employs more than 600 people, has manufacturingfacilities in Dallas and San Ramon, CA.
