Although the final decision on the site has yet to be made,hospital planners are looking at a site on Ellsworth Road, near thefuture route of Loop 202. A location will be chosen over the nextfew months, and construction should begin within three years, sayhospital officials.
Catholic Healthcare West owns two other hospitals in the Valley,Chandler Regional Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital and MedicalCenter in Phoenix. The last time a hospital opened in the EastValley was in 1983.
