Campbell Motel Properties Inc., based in Brea., CA, has tied upa 2.3-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Central Avenue andVirginia Place. The company wants to build a four-story, 102-roomWingate Inn.
If the hotel were built, it would be the first hotel built inthe midtown area in more than a decade.
The company is currently taking its plans through the zoning andplanning process.Construction could begin as soon as zoning isapproved, which could come as quickly as the first quarter of nextyear.
