The deal is said to give the Florida company a new route toexpansion, while providing the Baltimore firm a sought-afteroperating base into Latin America.

Howard Snoweiss, who becomes vice president of RTKL's Miami areaoffice, founded his firm 20 years ago. Clients include the RitzCarlton in Naples, FL and the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel in FortLauderdale, FL, as well as the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Thefirm has 50 employees and expects to double in size over the nexttwo years.

RTKL has some 900 employees and annual revenues of more than$100 million. It had reportedly been seeking a Miami presence forsome time. Merger talks with Snoweiss had been under way for thepast two years.
