McCullough notes that the developments include a $100-millionretail and entertainment complex by Palladium Co., a division ofthe Related Retail Corp. of New York, J.M. Olson Co.'s $8-million,three-story office/retail building, a $20-million, six-storymixed-use building by John Development Corp., The Willits, a$70-million condominium/retail project that will be completed in2002 by Robertson Bros. and Co. of Bloomfield Hills and afive-story condominium/retail project by Tri-Mount Estate HomesInc.

Developable space in the city's posh Downtown is as valuable asgold to most developers. About 10 smaller condominium/retailprojects are included in the $200 million figure."We wanted toprovide a larger residential presence Downtown to expand existingservices and businesses there," McCullough says. "We're juststarting to realize the goals we put in place four years ago."
