For example, in Lake County alone in the last two years, about$100 million in new commercial development covering one million sfhas sprouted along a 25-mile stretch of highway in the GoldenTriangle cities of Tavares, Eustis and Mount Dora, all about 30miles northwest of Downtown Orlando.
The newest business opening in December on US 441 in Mount Dorais the 20,000-sf, estimated $2-million Office Depot unit. Thatproject is surrounded by ventures at the traffic-heavy Eudora Roadand US 441 hub that have either opened or expanded in the last 12months.
Among them are the $15-million, 250,000-sf Wal-Mart Supercenter;the $3-million, 40,000-sf Eckerd Drugs; the $2-million 30,000-sfBlockbuster; and the 80,000-sf, $8-million SouthTrust Bankbranch.
