"With the addition of Level 3 we now have three major bandwidthcarriers who have located their backbone routing and switching atE-port," says Paul Fishbein, vice president at Amerimar Enterprisesof Philadelpia. The other major carriers that have signed areWorldcom and Broadwing.

Amerimar is the marketing partner in the E-port venture, whichwill ultimately be comprised of 1.5 million-sf of telecom hotel,office and retail space. Amerimar is partnering with TaconicPartners, Angelo Gordon & Co. and Centrum Properties in aninvestment of more than $200 million in E-port.

Level 3, based in Broomfield, CO, will occupy 1-1/2 floors atE-port, a space more than four times as large as Level 3's otherfacility at 111 N. Canal here. Level 3 has facilities in 56 USmarkets and 21 European and Asian markets.
