When the city changed the 150-acre site's zoning fromresidential to commercial, Mills sued, but the case was thrown outof court.

However, the Huizenga group has since asked for severalpostponements of public hearings on its proposal, which includes109,000 sf of hotel and office space. Rather than start the newproject by 2004, as first announced, the developer is nowreconsidering the highest and best use for the property.

Meanwhile, Mills Corp. plans to add another 550,000 sf to itscomplex. The decade-old Sawgrass Mills opened a dinning andentertainment wing last year.
