If the proposed expansion gets the final green light, RockawayTownsquare will total 1.6 million, making it the second largestmall in the Garden State. Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, at 1.5million sf, is currently in second place, trailing only the 1.9million-sf Garden State Plaza in Paramus.
Besides the additional mall space, other current projects at theRockaway Townsquare site include a 165-room Hilton Gardens Inn, asecond unnamed hotel, and a freestanding retail building forBorders Books, Linens 'n Things and Old Navy.
