Initially, the plans had called for 320 units and 4.5 acres ofcommercial use, but it had been changed to better reflect thetown's comprehensive plan. Under the new plan, the 35-acre site atMcCaslin Boulevard and Coalton Road would include 15.1 acres ofresidentially compatible commercial projects, such as assistedliving, day care and small professional or medical buildings.

DelWest may sell the commercial land to other developers, or maydevelop it itself. The 60-year-old company is primarily aresidential developer, with more than 60,000 housing units in NorthAmerica, including 1,000 in the Denver area.
