SAN JOSE-Corporate business travel is keeping hotel occupancy tight during the week, according to recently-released reports.Many Silicon Valley hotels are running at high capacity during the week, particularly Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the report. It’s the strongest hotel market in Northern California.

In response to this demand, new inventory is in development. There is a 300-room Downtown Marriott Courtyard and 506-room Marriott Hotel that are both expected to break ground by year’s end. And the Fairmont Hotel is currently expanding by 264 rooms and 15,000 sf, putting it at 805 rooms and 65,000 sf.
