A Phoenix developer, the Crow Group, has proposed building two,four- to six-story office buildings in the heart of downtown Mesa,the largest suburb of Phoenix. The site of the two buildings issouthwest of Robson and Main streets in downtown.

Mesa has two other Class-A office projects under way: the DenaliNational Trust building southwest of the Superstition Freeway atStapley Drive and the Opus West building near Fiesta Mall. The CrowGroup building, however, would be the first to be built in thedowntown area.

"For us, this is very important," says Greg Marek, Mesa'sredevelopment director. "It means we'll be able to attracthigh-quality tenants. There really isn't any Class-A office spacein the southeast Valley."
