Buckhead, off Downtown, is known for its toney shops, upscaleoffice buildings and luxury hotels. Now, Mark McClure wants to adda $20-million specialty hotel to the mix. The construction costequates to $117,647 per room.

He plans to build a 12- to 15-story facility with 170 rooms on aone-acre piece of land on Pharr Road in the entertainment districtof Buckhead. Currently on the property is Bell Bottoms, a nightclub.

Rooms would go for $150 to $500 per night. McClure isnegotiating on the land and expects to close the deal by Januaryand begin construction in March.
