DUBLIN, CA-The Alameda County Board of Supervisors this week granted Oracle Corp. exclusive rights to negotiate the purchase of 12 acres in eastern Dublin, near where other high-tech companies are planning developments.

The Redwood Shores-based Oracle is proposing an 830,000-sf satellite office campus that would sit near a new headquarters for Sybase and land being eyed by Cisco Systems for expansion. Oracle and county planners will spend the next 60 days negotiating the details of the purchase. The software giant has already offered to buy the land for nearly $45.7 million.
