The project's formal unveiling Tuesday at one of the twoalready-completed 18-hole golf courses at the ChampionsGate sitecoincided with an announcement by Irving, TX-based Omni Hotels toopen a $150 million, 732-room asset by year end 2002.Ground-breaking is scheduled for spring 2001. The estimated hardconstruction cost is $92 million.
Developing the entire project are two big industryplayers--Apollo Real Estate Advisors of New York and Houston-basedRida Development Corp. The property owner is Rida Associates, alimited partnership headed by Ira and Jacob Mitzner.
