Bidcom has experience in business process management. Cephren'sfocus is on collaborative commerce applications. The new companywill work to allow clients to manage all of their information andprocesses across multiple projects. Combined, the new company willboast over 55,000 users across 1,200 projects worldwide.

The synergies between the two companies' products, assets,operating expenses and target markets were such that "it madetremendous business sense for us to merge," says Bidcom CEO DougSabella, who will become CEO of Citadon when the merger iscomplete. Meanwhile, Robert J. Majteles will serve as Chairman.Majiteles was formerly Cephren's CEO. Current clients includeHines, Marriott, and Fluor Daniel.

Citadon's product line will include ProjectNet, a collaborationand document management system; MarketNet, a collaborative commercesolution; and PrintNet, a system designed to manage and streamlinethe production of project-related print documents.
