The board approved the building after trimming its 220-footheight to 215, taking five feet off the penthouse and shavinganother five feet from the main building. The building will totalat least 450,000 sf.

Residents at the nearby and longstanding Regency and Encorecondominium buildings were concerned that the 14-story buildingwould obstruct their views. Tony Calabrese, an attorney for theFalls Church-based credit card marketer, called the decision a"reasonable compromise."

Route 123, Interstate 495 and Scotts Crossing Road bound the28-acre site, which is planned to include four buildings.Demolition on the buildings presently there has already begun.
