Rockland EDC to Honor Economic Development Leaders

PEARL RIVER, NY-Seven companies that relocated or expanded their operations in Rockland County this year will be honored at the Rockland Economic Development Corporation’s luncheon entitled “Connections 2000: The View from Cyberspace” which will be held on Nov. 16 at the IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center.

The REDC will award certificates of recognition to: Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceuticals, Claris USA, Inc., Gareb Shamus Enterprises/Wizard Entertainment, Impromptu Gourmet, Intercos America, Jawonio, Inc., and Piccini Industries, Ltd.

Other notable award winners at the event will be: the Board of Directors of Union State Bank, which will receive an “Award of Distinction” and Southern Energy, New York which owns and operates power generating facilities in Rockland, Sullivan and Orange counties, including the Bowline Point Plant in West Haverstraw and the Lovett Power Plant in Tomkins Cove.
