"It's sort of a natural way to bring their tenants or theirresidents to their portal," Corrigo, vice president of marketingMaya Babish tells GlobeSt. "Everybody has to deal with maintenance,so that's how we're working together, providing a much morecomprehensive product offering for owners and managers ofcommercial buildings as well as residential buildings."

Corrigo struck a similar deal with Louisville, Ky.-based portalElectric Streets earlier this month. "They are providing acommercial portal," Babish says. "Their focus is on the commercialspace. And a lot of these commercial companies today are lookingfor content to help bring people back to their site."

Money has yet to change hands between Corrigo and Brickwire,Babish says. Rather, both firms hope to broaden their customer basethrough the alliance. "It's solutions like (this) that are reallygoing to allow portals to add value to the real estate community,whether that's on the business side or on the consumer side," shesays. "Without content like that, it's extremely difficult to bringpeople back."
