The industrial building will be used for manufacturing byExtrusion Technology, which is a producer of titanium, stainlesssteel, and nickel pipes and other products for commercial,aerospace, defense, oil and gas, and industrial markets. Thebuilding, located near the William P. Hobby Airport in southeastHouston, is owned by CG233 Inc.

The building is part of a redevelopment of the former plant ofContinental Emsco, an oilfield services firm that had vacated theproperty a few years ago. The 80-acre Continental Emsco facility,which includes 500,000 sf of industrial buildings, has beenrenovated and divided into smaller spaces that have been leased toother firms. The redeveloped Continental Emsco plant has largecranes for manufacturing purposes, and crane-equipped industrialbuildings have been growing more difficult to locate inHouston.

The area around the Hobby Airport has been growing in popularityas a site for industrial development. The Boyd Page/ChainLinks realestate firm has represented Extrusion Technology Corp. and Cushman& Wakefield has acted on the owner's behalf
