Ohio Firm Chooses Charlotte for Expansion Move

CHARLOTTE, NC-Jackson Tube Service Inc., an Ohio-based steel tubing manufacturer, has selected the Queen City to set up a 58,000-sf plant. The company bought an existing building plus 19 acres for $3.6 million or about $62 per sf.

CHARLOTTE, NC-Leaving its home roots for the first time, Ohio-based Jackson Tube Service Inc. has decided to set up a 58,000-sf manufacturing facility here and will start recruiting employees locally.

Planning future expansion, the company has acquired an existing building plus 19 acres off Westinghouse Boulevard for $3.6 million or $62.06 per sf from Super Tech Systems.

The Charlotte operation will give the company a presence near some of its major customers and establish a base from which to promote expanded sales in the southeast market.
