Adding an additional 265,000-sf facility to its existing250,000-sf distribution center will more than double the size ofthe present center. The company is transferring over 100headquarter employees from Concord, NC.

The company is keeping its headquarters and distribution centerin Kannapolis because of the cooperation it is receiving from cityand county officials, according to Kirk Krull, Shoe Show vicepresident of real estate and development.

Shoe Show's growth is attributed to its acquisition of 80 Pic N'Pay stores in the Southeast earlier this year. The company operates700 stores in 29 states under the Shoe Show, Burlington Shoe andThe Shoe Depot brands.
