De Leon has outgrown its old space at 9807 Harwin. AlexanderReilly, Westwood's representative from Boyd Page/ChainLinks, tellsGlobeSt.com that De Leon had been attracted to the new lease for acouple of reasons:

First, he says, it wanted to move out of its old location inHarwin's "discount row" to a more professional, business-park spacewith good accessibility to Beltway 8. Second, De Leon had been ableto secure a lease based on 1997 rates because Westwood had signed afive-year lease three years ago.

Westwood, which sells discount furniture, no longer needs thespace on Westline because it is downsizing and moving warehousingoperations to its retail site at 10105 Bissonnet. SIA Realty hasrepresented De Leon Collections in the lease agreement.
