Kim Pearman-Gillman, senior vice president for AvistaDevelopment, says that like Steam Plant Square, Courtyard OfficeSuites will feature small, flexible office space that will betargeted to start-up dot.com companies, as well as graphic artists,attorneys and anyone else looking for a small, affordable officespace that features the latest in high-tech wiring.

"Small companies want to start out small but they want this bigaddress and a fancy environment," says Pearman-Gillman. "This givesthem the small space they need to get started, and enables them toshare things like conference rooms and reception areas. It alsoprovides them with unlimited bandwidth."

Renovation on the building, located in Spokane's downtownDavenport art district, is underway, with completion expected nextfall. Pearman-Gillman says lease rates are expected to range from$15 to $20 per sf, with additional costs associated for high-techwiring to be distributed among the tenants.
