New Delhi, India-based DCM Technologies Opens First Texas Office

AUSTIN-A New Delhi-based high-tech company has imported 15 engineers from California, Boston and India for initial staffing of a new design and product development center in Austin. DCM Technologies is leasing 2,500 sf at the Bull Creek building, located at 7501 Capital of Texas Highway, a company representative tells GlobeSt.com. The office is the first in Texas for the firm, a supplier of intellectual property and design services for the computing and communications industries. More engineers will be hired from the local market, the company contact says.

DCM is introducing Software Engineering Institute Level 5 design and development capabilities in Austin, selected because of its strong semiconductor market. The Austin staff, which is a sister operation to one in Gurgaon, India, also will focus on wireless device applications.

Among DCM’s accolades is recognition by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University for putting forth the highest-quality development processes. According to the company, only 30 companies worldwide have reached the top level 5 of the institute’s stringent Capability Maturity Model.
