Von Maur Plans St. Charles Store

ST. CHARLES, IL-Davenport, IA-based department store retailer Von Maur will open a 132,000-sf store at Charlestowne Mall in the fall of 2001, according to mall owner Wilmorite Property Management LLC of Rochester, NY.

Wilmorite says it will invest $10 million along with Von Maur in the new store. Von Maur is also in negotiations with Davis Street Land to open a store in Southwest suburban Orland Park at the developer’s planned 500,000-sf Main Place shopping mall.

Wilmorite says Von Maur is an anchor tenant in 14 regional shopping centers throughout the Midwest. Charlestowne Mall’s other anchor tenants are Carson Pirie Scott, Sears and Kohl’s.
