FREEHOLD, NJ-Permanent financing of $5.8 million has been secured for Pond Road North Shopping Center. Pond Road Associates, with David Cronheim Mortgage Corp., Chatham, NJ, acting as correspondent and servicing agent for the transaction, obtained the 15-year, self-liquidating package. The source of the funding was not named.

The borrower is the original owner of the nearly 40-year-old property, which totals just over 118,000 sf plus a small office component. Staples, Petco and Old Country Buffet anchor pond Road North, part of the two-building Pond Road Plaza. Circuit City, Pier 1 Imports and Provident Savings Bank anchor the companion Pond Road South, also owned by the borrower but not part of this latest transaction.
