American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, hasincorporated features such as regional boarding ramps andelectronic gate readers for speedy boarding into the facility'sdesign. American Eagle has been operating most of its day-to-dayoperations out of the lower level of Terminal A. The regionalairline will continue to operate a busing operation out of TerminalA plus use two gates on its upper level.

American Eagle this year has been approved for regional jetservice from DFW to 12 cities in its bid to become the leader inthe region. Southwest Airlines, based at Love Field in Dallas, isits primary competitor.
