DALLAS-Tomorrow, American Eagle will cut the ribbon on a new 30,000-sf, 13-gate satellite terminal on the east side of Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport.

American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, has incorporated features such as regional boarding ramps and electronic gate readers for speedy boarding into the facility’s design. American Eagle has been operating most of its day-to-day operations out of the lower level of Terminal A. The regional airline will continue to operate a busing operation out of Terminal A plus use two gates on its upper level.

American Eagle this year has been approved for regional jet service from DFW to 12 cities in its bid to become the leader in the region. Southwest Airlines, based at Love Field in Dallas, is its primary competitor.
