Local wineryElliston Vineyards has said it wants to lease much of the land forvineyards. But staff members at a Public Utilities Commissionhearing last month claimed the vineyards would not generate as muchrevenue for the town as the quarry, which is estimated to bring inmore than $1.5 million a year.
