Fery had directed the group's operations since 1997, overseeingthe hotel, restaurant and commercial real estate assets of theStevenson family of Bingen, Wash. The downtown Heathman Hotel andrestaurant was the prize property in that portfolio. It was soldfor $25 million in September to Modesto, Calif.-based Rim Corp.,which is using it to launch a more upscale division of its hotelempire. Rim has retained the hotel staff, including hotel managerJeff Jacob.

The Heathman Group, which has reverted back to its originalname, North Pacific Management, continues to oversee the family'sother holdings, including The Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, Wash.,The Greenwood Inn in Beaverton and the Clarion Hotel Airport. Otherfamily-owned properties include the downtown Southpark Restaurant,two local fitness clubs and other retail, office and industrialproperty totaling more than 1 million sf throughout WesternOregon.
