After scouring the entire Bay Area for a new site, the SanJose-based company selected the South Fremont location because ofits proximity to affordable housing and communities where land isstill available to build. Catellus plans to break ground nextspring for the Cisco portion of the Pacific Commons project, whichmay be completed in less than two years. In addition, thenetworking giant has two deals to build a 760,000-sf campus inDublin--with the option to take another 250,000-sf of space--and290,000-sf in Pleasanton. Both deals are being handled by The CACGroup of San Francisco.
