In spite of the receivership, the mall has been gaining newpermanent tenants, which now total 120. The 722,000-sf retailproperty also has added nearly 50 temporary tenants for theChristmas season, not counting kiosks. Remaining permanent space of25,000 sf is available for prices ranging from $25 per sf to $50per sf depending on size and location.

Two years previous, the mall had submitted plans for a275,000-sf expansion, with a multiplex theater at the heart of theexpansion, but the project was put on hold. Curran explained, "Themultiplex theater was pivotal to the expansion, but with all theproblems in the theater industry, the timing was wrong." Curranexpects to see a remodel of the mall within the next year and ahalf. "We are very optimistic about where the Everett Mall isgoing, she says."
