On Friday, outdoor-gear store Recreational Equipment Inc. opensits fifth Bay Area location in Fremont. Borders Books & Musicwill open its 12th area store--also in Fremont--the following dayat Union City's Union Landing shopping center. REI will span 12,000sf, while Borders has a total of 25,000 sf.
