Jim Melson's CEO slot will be filled by Steve Winn, RealPageboard chairman. Melson has been with RealPage since December 1998when his company RealPage Communications Inc. had merged with RentRoll Inc. Melson says his return to management consulting ismortared in RealPage's success with its OneSite product centers andits 20,000 multifamily-community portfolio nationwide. "Mylong-term interests have always been in the management consultingarea, and now that we have successfully launched the initialapplication ... I am anxious to return to the consulting arena,"says Melson.

RealPage provides property management software systems to themultifamily sector. Melson does plan to continue in a long-termadvisory capacity. "This is not really a goodbye to RealPage," saysMelson. "I see this transition as a change in career roles,allowing me to pursue my consulting opportunities while stillremaining tied to the vision ... of RealPage created over the pastfew years."
