Salem lawyer Richard Allen was appointed as receiver by a MarionCounty judge. A sheriff's sale will be held at Anderson's downtownSalem store at 10 a.m. Nov. 22 to sell all of the company's assetsas a whole. Fox reportedly hopes to be the highest bidder, andre-enter the sporting goods business. It is unclear what willbecome of the Salem store, or if Fox would reopen its Albany andEugene locations which were recently closed.
