The plan calls for construction of a 15,000-sf store. The parcelwas excess property obtained by the DDA through the acquisitionprocess of Maple Road right-of-way. The property is owned by theDDA, partnering with the City of Walled Lake, who controls zoningand planning approval.

A total of four developers submitted five proposals forconsideration, which were reviewed by a committee of DDA and CityCouncil members, as well as City staff. A purchase agreement willbe prepared by the city attorney prior to final approval.
