"We're hoping to have one of the initial phases of the projectunveiled between Thanksgiving and Christmas," Sleepy Hollow MayorPhilip E. Zegarelli, says.General Motors had originally scheduledan October 1999 release of its redevelopment plan for the formerminivan assembly plant property. Since then, it has delayed releaseof its plans at least four times.

In fact, the mayor relates, "The delay has been turned out to begood because they have been able to digest the suggestions we havemade."

Mayor Zegarelli, who is president and chief executive officer ofReliance Bank in White Plains, would not comment as to any detailsof the GM proposal. He does say the village has advised GM that itsplans should incorporate some new development as well as somepreservation of some of the property as parkland and recreationaluses.
