Pharmaca Opens Boulder Flagship Store

BOULDER, CO-Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, which integrates traditional and natural medicine products and services, has unveiled its new concept in Boulder.

Founders Barry Perzow and Dale Schwartz categorize this store as an “incubator” that will help launch additional Pharmaca stores in Colorado and other markets. “We intend for our flagship store and future Pharmaca sites to be destination locations for consumers seeking science-based information about prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, nutritional and herbal supplements, drug/nutrient depletion issues, and drug/herbal interactions,” says Perzow. The approach is not to advocate one method over another, but to offer appropriate professional advice coupled with health and wellness products.

The 3,800-sf store is located in a neighborhood shopping center surrounded by three medical facilities. The recently renovated pharmacy had been Broadway Drug & General Store, which had been in operation at this location since 1958.
