Founders Barry Perzow and Dale Schwartz categorize this store asan "incubator" that will help launch additional Pharmaca stores inColorado and other markets. "We intend for our flagship store andfuture Pharmaca sites to be destination locations for consumersseeking science-based information about prescriptions,over-the-counter drugs, nutritional and herbal supplements,drug/nutrient depletion issues, and drug/herbal interactions," saysPerzow. The approach is not to advocate one method over another,but to offer appropriate professional advice coupled with healthand wellness products.
The 3,800-sf store is located in a neighborhood shopping centersurrounded by three medical facilities. The recently renovatedpharmacy had been Broadway Drug & General Store, which had beenin operation at this location since 1958.
