SafeRent Inc. Inks Multifamily Pact for 115-Community Simpson Property Portfolio

DENVER-SafeRent Inc., an on-line credit and risk management provider, has landed Simpson Property Group as a customer for its Internet-based applicant screening service. The Denver-based Simpson group operates 115-multifamily communities, totaling more than 30,000 units, in 13 states. The entire portfolio of properties will use SafeRent’sscreening service.

SafeRent, based here, allows apartment owners to reduce bad debt and vacancies, claims Linda Bush, president and COO of the two-year-old operation. “Access to accurate recommendations regarding applicant creditworthiness supports better decision-making,” she says. SafeRent aids apartment owners in complying with Fair Housing and Fair Credit standards, she adds.

“The ability to provide instant recommendations to our applicants enables us to maintain higher occupancy levels that positively affect our bottom line,” says Todd S. Pope, Simpson Property’s president. Simpson Property Group is the result of June’s merger between Denver-based Great West Management & Realty Ltd. and its subsidiary, Simpson Housing Limited Partnership Realty Corp.
