Ambling Wins Military Corporate Housing Contract

VALDOSTA, GA-Ambling Management Co. has picked up another trophy contract–the 24 fully-furnished corporate housing community for the 347th Contracting Squadron at Moody Air Force Base here. The contract’s value wasn’t disclosed. Valdosta is 200 miles southeast of Downtown Atlanta.

Sunbelt Holdings Investments, owner of Courtyard Apartments, the military housing complex, retained Ambling Management, a subsidiary of locally-based Ambling Cos. Inc. Ambling’s one-year contract has four one-year options that can be exercised at the Air Force’s request.

Each apartment will house two student pilots and is equipped with a private bedroom and study room. The apartments have daily maid and linen service. Pilots will live in the apartments for an average of seven weeks at a time.

“Military housing is a rapidly expanding opportunity for the private sector,” says Ryan Holmes, manager of Sunbelt Holdings Investments and executive vice president for Ambling Cos. The parent firm is comprised of Ambling West, Ambling Development Co., Ambling Management Co. and Rea Construction.
