MINNETONKA, MN – Opus Corp. plans to open a metro Detroit office in thenext year and hire a real estate professional to “findother industrial and office opportunities in southeastMichigan for us,” says Les Blum, SVP and general manager for the Opus division in Rosemont,IL. Blum says that the size of the market and itssolid absorption of bulk warehouse/distribution spaceover the last 12 to 18 months were reasons for themove.

Opus, based in Minnetonka, recentlyannounced plans to build a 200,000-sfwarehouse/distribution project called Van BurenCommerce Center. Opus’ North division has offices inChicago, Milwaukee, Columbus and Indianapolis.
