Brix wanted to stay in this area because of its central locationin the Greater Boston area. "There are potential employees within a30-minute ride from Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshireand Central Massachusetts, " John H. Ricciardone, director ofcorporate communications for Brix tells GlobeSt.com. "We are nowliterally one exit below Route 495, which is one of the main techhubs in Eastern Massachusetts."

The stand-alone two-story brick building is about 15 miles fromWaltham and is home to a number of high -tech companies such as SunMicrosystems, Sycamore Networks, Astral Point Communications andKronos Inc. The company's previous office was nearly 11,000 sf ofspace, but Brix will now occupy 31,000 sf of space. The company hasplans to double the number of its 100 employees within a year."Things are happening very quickly," says Ricciardone. "What usedto take years to do is now speeded up by Internet time."
