Long's Drugs will anchor The Promenade, a $35 million mixed-useproject headed by the Castle Group, a Palo Alto, CA-based company.The company also is building 102 town homes and 32,000-sf of retailon the property, as well as a 350-home subdivision less than a mileaway, according to Chris Kober, president of Castle Group. Thetotal investment is about $125 million, says Kober.
Also in the works is a 53,000-sf of new Class A office spacebeing developed by Emeryville's Silverman & Light, Inc., anelectrical engineering and lighting design firm making its debut inthe real estate market. Silverman & Light's new developmentwill be located across the street from The Promenade.
