With the completion of its exchange offer for Fort James and thefiling of a merger agreement, Georgia-Pacific will begin operatingand integrating the tissue products firm immediately under theGeorgia-Pacific name. Product brands are Soft 'N Gentle, AngelSoft, Sparkle, Coronet, Mardi Gras, So-Dri, Green Forest, VanityFair and Dixie. Their combined revenue last year was $24.8 billionfrom a global work force of 85,000.

As previously announced, Georgia-Pacific is separating itstimberlands operations and divesting selected commodities andnon-strategic businesses.
