Classic Residence by Hyatt Donates $200,000 to Yonkers Public High Schools

YONKERS-The Hyatt senior residence facility in Yonkers has donated $200,000 to the Yonkers Public Schools, part of a commitment to donate a total of $1.5 million over the next 14 years to the system.

YONKERS-The Yonkers Public School system has received a check for $200,000 for scholarships from the Classic Residence by Hyatt senior residence facility.

The donation was given by Classic Residence by Hyatt officials to school officials and representatives of the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency at a recent ceremony held at the new senior housing facility on Riverdale Ave. here.

The money was the first installment in a total of $1.5 million that the city’s five public high schools will receive from Hyatt over the next 14 years for scholarships for graduating seniors. The funds are being given to the schools through the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency.
