MINNEAPOLIS – Two Minnesota football teams – the Minnesota Vikings professional team and the University of Minnesota team – are looking at the possibility of building a new football stadium together. Both the Vikings and the Minnesota Gophers want out of the 18-year-old Metrodome, citing the need the increased revenues. The two are studying a joint stadium, but there are some key issues to overcome with regards to size, field (turf or grass) and type (outdoor vs. indoor).
