Mathis Moves from PricewaterhouseCoopers to Greenwich Capital Markets

GREENWICH, CT-Carol Mathis, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, has joined Greenwich Capital Markets as managing director and chief financial officer.

The appointment, which became effective last Friday, has Mathis assuming responsibility for Greenwich Capital’s finance, accounting, treasury and internal reporting operations. She reports to Greenwich Capital’s co-CEOs, Ben Carpenter and Jay Levine. Greenwich Capital Markets is a leading investment banking firm specializing in fixed-income securities and is headquartered in Greenwich, CT.

Mathis joins Greenwich Capital after 12 years at Coopers & Lybrand, and its successor, PricewaterhouseCoopers, most recently as a partner and a member of its Capital Markets Group.

“Carol was our outside auditor and consultant and knows our business and our culture,” Carpenter states. “She is a proven leader and manager who can tackle challenging issues.” Mathis replaced John Ryan, who had previously announced his retirement after 16 years with Greenwich.
