Insignia/ESG Beefs Up Virginia Office Staff

WASHINGTON, DC-John M. Germano is one of the newest additions to the Insignia/ESG Inc. management team, say company officials. Laura E. Ward, CPM, Joseph W. Donato, CPA, and Timothy M. Kelly are also company new-hires.

Germano is the executive director of Insignia’s Tysons Corner, VA offices. With 12 years’ management and commercial real estate experience, he will direct a staff of more than 24 brokers. Ward is a new sales associate, Donato a senior financial analyst and Kelley a financial analyst to the Capital Advisors Group in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Germano is the former regional manager of Jones Lang LaSalle DC region. Under his management, the firm’s portfolio grew 20% and the region executed over 1.5 million sf of leasing transactions.

Ward has experience in both the multifamily and office markets. Her new role will focus on investment sales. Until recently, she was an investment sales associate with Julien J. Studley, Inc.

As senior financial analyst, Donato’s responsibilities will include financial due diligence and underwriting of commercial real estate assets for debt and equity placement. Before joining Insignia/ESG, he was with the Zitelman Group and affiliates, where he was a senior analyst responsible for overseeing the financial performance and valuation of real estate investments.

Kelly, a financial analyst, will be responsible for due diligence and underwriting of commercial real estate assets for debt and equity placement. Previously, he was with Wachovia Bank NA where he was a financial analyst responsible for the underwriting and analysis of a portfolio consisting of commercial real estate and operating companies.
